Can I Rebrand the Cloud Capsule App in Client Tenants?
When Cloud Capsule registers its enterprise application in a client tenant, the application name, publisher, and branding are controlled by Cloud Capsule as the application owner and cannot be modified by MSP partners. This article explains why rebranding is not possible and how to communicate the tool's presence to clients professionally.
Overview:
When Cloud Capsule registers its enterprise application in a client tenant, the application identity, including its name, publisher, and branding, is controlled by Cloud Capsule as the application owner. MSP partners do not have the ability to modify these core application properties to display their own company name or branding.
What Clients Will See:
1. Application name: Cloud Capsule2. Publisher: Cloud Capsule or the registered application owner
3. Permissions consent screen: Cloud Capsule branding during the consent process
Alternatives:
1. Clearly communicate to clients that Cloud Capsule is the security tool your MSP uses to manage and monitor their Microsoft 365 environment.2. Provide branded documentation that explains the tools in your security stack and how Cloud Capsule fits into your service offering.
Additional Notes:
This limitation is standard for enterprise applications in Entra ID. The application owner controls the core identity and branding properties. Focus on clear client communication about the tools you use to deliver security services.
